About UFM Reform Watch

UFM Reform Watch is a response to the widespread interest that President Javier Milei’s libertarian reform program has generated throughout Latin America and the opportunities that this level of interest presents.

Javier Milei is proposing sweeping reforms with the goal of freeing Argentines to create wealth. We propose to document and analyze Milei’s proposed reforms in terms of content, the political processes involved, and the impact of reform implementation/rejection.

The big goal is to encourage Argentina and other countries adopt market liberal policies that put them firmly on the path to prosperity and leave a “dos and don’ts” blueprint of how to achieve such change politically. An equally important focus of this work is to protect the underlying free market principals from discredit in case Milei is not successful.

UFM Reform Watch defines, documents, and measures the impact of the specific elements of Milei's reforms (implemented or rejected). It will track and analyze them through three lenses:

  • Legal context and components
  • Political context, challenges, and solutions
  • Economic impact
